Biomedical Technician/ Biomedical Engineer

The E.J. Busuttil Group of Companies is an established leader in the importation and distribution of premium preparations across the healthcare spectrum. We continuously strive to provide service excellence by consistently delivering quality, professionalism and innovation within the local healthcare industry.

Given that, we’re recruiting a technical and organised Biomedical Engineer on a Full Time basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of biomedical, scientific and industry-based machines, equipment and software
  • Maintaining up-to-date service histories of specific machines and equipment
  • Providing timely, detailed and accurate reports on service work performed, equipment/software performance, expenses required, time allocations etc.
  • Managing and maintaining network-connected equipment and systems
  • Supporting integration of equipment with hospital / institution IT infrastructure
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, networks, and related software for biomedical systems
  • Ensuring cybersecurity compliance of connected equipment
  • Performing preventive maintenance and technical support on biomedical equipment
  • Collaborating with IT teams on network architecture, licences, VLANs, IP allocation, and system upgrades
  • Monitoring system performance and resolving connectivity or data flow issues
  • Maintaining documentation of systems, configurations, and service activities
  • Developing, maintaining and improving relationships with customers through expert advice and specialist service provision
  • Assisting in the development and improvement of service and maintenance processes and information

Qualifications, Experience & Key Skills Required:

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Professional with strong technical acumen
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within an engineering or technician role
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent report writing, communication and I.T. skills.
